The St. Magdalena Church
Built 1480 by Schneeberg miners and equipped with a precious winged altar by Matthias Stöberl, the Gothic church on the hill against the backdrop of glaciated high peaks is both a scenic and an art historical gem. From early May to early November, guided tours are offered for free.
Gilfenklamm in Stange
The Gilfenklamm is located in Ratschings and offers a wonderful spectacle of nature.
This is an impressive hike passing along the Reifenegg ruins and thundering waterfalls. The “Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Klamm”, as it was baptized 100 years ago, is the world’s only gorge that is carved deep into pure white marble. The Ratschings stream forces its way spraying up between tower-high rock walls and plunges thunderously over numerous waterfalls into the valley. An unforgettable experience! The Gilfenklamm is open from early May to early November.
