Ratschings – Impressions – The three Valleys
The town of Ratschings is west of Sterzing-Vipiteno with views over three valleys – Ridnau, Rastschings and Jaufen. Up to the road that connects to the Jaufen pass and leads to Meran through the Passeiertal valley, there is absolute peace and quite, with no traffic passing by. This is because Ratschings is the best place where to meet people, in search of calm and tranquility.
Ratschings is amongst the first South Tyrol valleys to have invested in Cross-country skiing. This resulted in our long trails!
The skiing area Ratschings-Jaufen (from 1.300 up to 2.150 metres above sea level) is no doubt amongst the most modern and most secure in South Tyrol – 8 comfortable and high-capacity Ski lifts, and 25 kilometers of ski pistes!
“Gilfenklamm” and “Burkhardklamm” are natural spectacles not to be missed!
Ratschings lies 976 metres above sea level and has 3.600 inhabitants. Summer
